Desktop Memory Palace:

Assignment: Construct a ‘memory palace’ inside of your system architecture, at least partially using command line tools. Use a series of folders to spatalize something you are remembering and can ‘move around’ architecturally.

A note: These directory trees are just representations of the memory palace file structure, which were ‘performed’ in front of the class. Download them from the Github to get the full folders experience.

Fantasy Networks :

Assignment: Create a “fantasy” communication network in line with our conversations around future networks, alternative networks, and minimal and low-tech computing. You may elect to build from past network histories or start from scratch designing a communication network that rises from an alternate tradition than the internet as we know it.

The project may take any form, including (but not limited to): written speculation, a game, a video, a powerpoint/slide presentation, a demo, a performance, technology/code that works, and technology/code that does not work.
